The world likes to define us into one little box.
This is what you look like. This is your career. This is what you enjoy, what you hate, what you can't possibly care about. This is who you're friends with. This is how you'll react. This is what your grade should be. This is good enough.
To accept your box is comfortable. It's steady. It's reliable and peaceful and easy. And tbh, there's NOTHING wrong with that. Sometimes that box is perfect, it fits you, you're happy, you don't crave the change, and you succeed. Hey, ygg.
But for others, that box has been there for too long. Maybe it was set upon you and around you and inside of you during middle school, and you've always just accepted it for what it was. Maybe it developed as you developed, and you went through something or did something and all of a sudden you had a box that you couldn't escape. Maybe, you didn't even REALIZE you had a box, but you've been feeling like something's holding you back and you're not quite sure what.
God crafts every inch of our story, and he crafted that box too. If it's meant to stay it will stay. If it's meant to leave it will leave. To live for him means to let him affect that, and trust him with what he chooses to do.
So what are you? What's your box? What has he placed on your heart to do with it?
Not sure? Ask.
Hi, I'm Chlo.
I've been writing stories inspired by my real and imaginative experiences since I learned at age 7 that if you fold and staple construction paper together, it sort of looks like a real book. I have always craved soul serving stories- ones that melt like butter in your mind as you hear your heart explained out loud.
This here is my home away from home. When I'm not exploring neighborhood coffeehouses, driving down the Pacific Coast (again), or loving on all my people - I'm probably here, with you. Come on in! Scroll around. I hope you feel less alone.
